After yesterday’s epic news — and still a rumor — that Christopher Nolan would be producing and overseeing both the Justice League and DC Comics movies, with Christian Bale returning as Batman with Man of Steel’s Superman (Henry Cavill), and Zack Snyder directing, the geek universe exploded in excitement. Check out our analysis here. But is it a good idea for Bale to return? Will it negate The Dark Knight trilogy? Is Warner Bros. overspending vs. Marvel’s wise choices of great, but affordable, talent with Iron Man and The Avengers?
Well, John Ary from Ain’t It Cool News has a video with a great argument against Bale, Nolan and the Justice League movie, and even I’m pausing to consider it. But as a big-time Nolan fan going back to early 2001 and watching Memento, and The Dark Knight trilogy being three of my favorite superhero films, well, I trust Chris Nolan and I hope if this is all true, it’ll be worked out to make sense, since Bruce Wayne retired, happily, from being Batman at the end of The Dark Knight Rises.
Here’s the video! Comment below on your thoughts on John Ary’s opinion that maybe it’s NOT a good idea for Bale to return in a Justice League movie.
