Alfred Hitchcock is in the top 5 directors of all time, and when I was young, I discovered his work, enjoying Rear Window, Psycho (which was still terrifying even after seeing the shower scene for years), Rope and others. Every class I took in film school, be it directing, writing, cinematography or editing, our teachers showed us a Hitchcock film to learn from.
One of the coolest things he did was appear in a cameo in every film, even Lifeboat. Here now, as we celebrated his birthday yesterday (August 13), are all of Hitchcock’s cameos in his movies.
